Dressing For An Interview

It’s amazing how many people get it wrong when dressing for an interview. Just because you are going for a job where staff wear casual clothes does not mean that you to should wear casual clothes when being interviewed.

Be careful when wearing a designer suit or having a designer bag as this can put many interviewers off. Crazy I know but true.

The ideal dress code for an interview, is a suit with shirt and tie or a skirt with a blouse.

Your tie should be tied properly and the top button of your shirt fastened. Your skirt should be knee length or longer and your blouse should not be low cut or too see-through. If you wear a dress, again, below the knee and not low cut.

Your shoes should be clean and polished, you will be amazed how many employers look at your shoes.

If you need to take a bag then make sure it is also clean and tidy and that you get any information out of your bag before your interview so that you are not seen rummaging around in your bag looking for your cv or certificates you want to show in your interview.

If you look smart you will be more confident in your interview.
