How do I do a CV?
So, you need a CV?
What do you put on it?
How many pages should it be?
How can I stand out against others going for similar roles?
There are 5 things that a company is looking for when they
are recruiting and you need to show one or more of these things that you have
done before for a company on your CV.
Have you saved a company from closing
Have you enhanced a company reputation
Have you saved a company time
Have you saved a company money
Have you made a company money
If you really look at what you have done in your past job roles you will have one or more examples of these things.
These examples should be on the first page of your CV as your first page is your introduction.
If you go into a book shop and see 5 auto-biographies’ and like all the pictures and have an interest in the people, you would look at the introduction first to see which book appeals to you therefore pick which book you want to buy.
Your CV is the same.
An employer takes 10-15 seconds to decide what to do with your cv. Whether to short list you or file you in the special file called a bin!!.
Don’t let your CV go into the special bin file.
